Hello,

I started my bodybuilding journey around 8-9 months ago. I'm not super serious about being in shows or competitions. Really just want to look and feel good. When I started this journey I was 145lbs, and was that from the age of 17 until 21. I have reached up to 191lbs and am now sitting at a comfortable 178. My workouts have been explosive and I feel as though I'm starting to gain a little knowledge. However, im here to grow that knowledge to get the edge I need to be better. I have a dilemma. Recently after hitting 295lbs on bench, I got 'golfers elbow' and it set me back almost two weeks. After the two weeks of rest I was able to use a brace to continue training. I did lose around 10lbs off of my max. Not sure if it's due to fear of injury or just an inability to continue at that weight. I joined the forum to connect with like minded people. I have very little knowledge compared to most in the forum, and would love to connect and share knowledge as we all learn.

Let's get YOKED.

Bro I'll be 69 in a few weeks and every time I bench or do almost any triceps movement I get intense pain in my elbows, right on the tip.of it. Im.not saying its just part of the game because ive been foing this for literally decades. My point is figure it out with your Dr becaude it wont get any better. Welcome to the group.

Welcome to Peak Muscle bro....if you do this shit long enough then ice packs and heating pads are just part of the routine.

Welcome. Pain is part of the game sometimes and the trick is to rest. The one thing none of us wants to do is take time off but sometimes, that's exactly what is needed to properly heal an area without making it worse. Lots of good information here. Keep posting.

You're right, I just recently had another flair up after starting a cycle and had to rest for a week. It hurts the heart.. but it's definitely much needed when you think long term.

I am 51 now, I used to be a monster and now I am just learning to deal with all the injuries. I have had 13 operations so far and it wears on you for sure. Eventually you realize that you just have to slow down as we age. I am still better than 99% of the people my age and I don't know any people half my age who want to tangle but I am not what I once was. Just get healed up and stretch.... OMG I wish I had learned that 30 years ago... LOL
