Well, it only took the insurance company 30 days to get me a check, WTF? Damn, even with the partial I had to pay for the rental, my rental bill will be over $350, damn. I was very stressed about finding a decent car with $4200 bucks but hit the jackpot. I got a 2000 Volkswagen Passat GLX 4Motion Wagon 4D with a 6 cylinder motor and tiptronic automatic transmission. It has all-wheel drive. It was $4200 bucks and only has 86,000 miles. The seats are dirty (I guess the one-owner it had was a mechanic or something) but I think that helped me get it below market value. As you may be aware, Passat drivers like a clean ride, but hell, I want something I can beat, go fast in, ride in comfort, haul my kids around, and be able to haul remodelling stuff for the house. It's perfect.
I'll pick it up on Monday and will try to shoot some pics. It is black with alloys. I am very psyched as I thought I would only end up with a piece of shit.
