Surgery today, the Doc cut the squamous cell melanoma off my calf. I froze it first and it came back bigger, then after it healed had a biopsy. She said it's worse than basal cell because if left untreated it could spread to the lymph nodes and from there throughout the body. Glad I found it. Went in for the follow up today and there she was knife in hand ready to cut. After some novacaine it was hack city. Afterwards the intern said, "It's a good thing you were numb!" I replied, "Well, not completely, I could feel her cutting the first 2 inches." She asked, "Why didn't you say something?" "What difference does it make, I said, just get rid of it!' She shook her head and walked out. This is my 4th overall surgery, but it's the last for this year. All the medical checkups I needed are done for 2016, let the healing begin.

Broke two stitches the first day. Bleeding like crazy but I didn't want to drive back to the Doc for her to re-stitch, so I cleaned it, dressed it up and taped the front part of my chin to my calf. Been elevating it the past 2 days trying not to agitate it. The bandage allows airflow, but I better change it today, just to prevent infection. The pain is pain, just mixed in with all the rest, so no big concern. Stupid Doc didn't even shave it first. A female at that! Ridiculous! Had I known she would be ready to cut I would've shaved before going in. Oh well...
