Norwegian killer Anders Behring Breivik murdered at least 76 individuals in a terrorist bombing in Oslo and a massacre on Utoya island. In the aftermath of this tragedy, the public is seeking answers trying to make sense of the unthinkable. Finger-pointing has put blame on religion (Christianity/Islam), video games (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2), politicians (liberals/conservatives), music (Lux ?terna) and even performance-enhancing drugs (anabolic steroids and ephedrine). I will focus on the latter issue.
The inescapable fact is that mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik admitted using anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs while preparing to commit the July 23 atrocities.
Breivik provided extensive details of his steroid use in his 1500 page manifesto entitled ?2083: A European Declaration of Independence? . In addition, he provided a primer to steroid use that he hoped his followers would use. He discussed various steroids such as Winstrol and Dianabol even telling readers where to buy steroids (Alinshop) and dietary supplements (Bodybuilding.com) ? endorsements I?m sure they would gladly do without!
Breivik?s use of steroids and supplements has inevitably been used to demonize the substances.
