Well I just started going to the gym AGAIN, after a year of hell(financially, emotionally, phisically) But things are on the right track now and I am all caught up with my payments and I started back on Monday. My goals are to loose 100+ pounds :bang: and I hope to compete next June with a freind who just did her first competition last month. I know I can do and am looking forward to seeing results. I am going 2 times a day to the gym, at 5-6 am cardio( before class) & again after class at 12:30pm for more cardio and weights. My diet( with some help from an old friend bmz)
meal1(6:45am)-shake
meal2(9am)-chicken, fruit
meal3(11am)-chicken, veggies
meal4(3pm)- shake from the gym
meal5(5:30pm)- fish or eggs, steamed veggies and cottage cheese .
meal6(7:30pm)-fat free jello.

I am drinking 9-12 glasses of water
1-3 glasses of tea
1 diet pop

so far I have lost 3lbs since Monday. Any body have any comments on how I could improve anything. Please be nice as I am already ashamed of how things have gotten out of control  , But I am trying to right them.
Thank you everyone for all the support.

good luck sister! i'm sure you will have no problems reaching your goals.

i wish you all the luck in the world... stay on the boards, it seems to always keep people motivated... good luck, cant wait to see the after pics..;)

started 30min tredmill,30min eliptical machine in the am.
30min eliptical machine then 30 min weights followed by 60min tredmill.
feeling great so far!

AM looks fine, but I think it would be better than when you do your weights to do them first and then hit the cardio. This way you ensure that you are using your glycogen stores for your wieghts and your ensure that the cardio will be used to tap in to fat stores right off the bat.

You'll be just fine with that kind of a diet. 100lbs is definately a goal and a half. keep us posted on how your progress is coming along, if you need some help, you know where to post it:)

Keep cardio under an hour at the most, no need for more than that.

Keep water intake higher, good luck.

Stay away from diet pop, not good for you. Drinking green tea is great due to the fact that it's a diuretic.

Cool thanks guys, so weights then cardio & no diet pop!

Just so we're clear though, your am cardio is fine, just make sure you do it on an empty stomach, and you don't have to do an hour's worth 45min will do

Good luck chrissy and I know you can do it, if you need any tips you know where to find me and the crew :)

Ditto!! ;) We'll work on this together girl....trust me, I've reached a very frustrating plateau that I'm trying to break, and if I hadn't been on the boards, I would've given up long ago!! They're great for keeping your motivation going.

I would throw some protein into your last meal of the day.

Drink some green tea (lots of it!!! 1/2 gallon, use 6 bags)

A gallon of water

You should be constantly drinking something all day. water, green tea, and shakes will keep you running to the bathroom quite a bit!

Make sure to supplement with some good fats. Fish Oil caps are good as well as olive oil.

Can you give us a macronutirnet breakdown of everythoing you are eating? (cals, protein, carbs, fats)

Empty stomach would be better, that way your body will use the stored fat for energy....

ok I went to fitday .com and and put in my actual food intake, so it dosent include 2 shakes or the fish oil and b50 complex or the mulivitamin.

Total cals 1003
Fat: 23g 211cals 23%
Sat- 7g 65cals 7%
poly-5g 41cals 4%
mono-9g 77cals 8%
Carbs: 39g 117cals 13%
fiber 10g 0 0
Protein: 152g 607cals 65%

As for my shakes the break down is:
cals: 110
pro: 22g
fat: 2g
carbs: 2g
acesulfame:P 8mg
sodium: 55mg
potassium: 105mg

shakes are taken with water and i usualy have 2 a day.after both work outs.

how does it look?

Wonderful!! The better you begin to feel, it will be easier to stick with it, cause you know how different it makes you feel....we all need motivation from time to time.
