The ground blind that me and the kid are gonna use for his first official deer season.....lord give me the patience to get thru this

I've never done this before I've taken plenty of people hunting set them up on stands helped drag deer out hell even gutted a few but this time it's me and my little man he barely has the patience for fishing when the bite is fast....I'm charging his tablet and my phone so he's occupied while we wait. Missouri and my father have no idea what to expect when me and mini me roll into town.

I used to go.hunting with my father when I was three years old. MO mom still laughs when she tells how I'd have my boots on the wrong feet as we went tromping through thevfields snd woods, and carrying my little plastic winchester with the red plastic bullets. 57 years ago. I still wear my boots on the wrong feet.

I have some vague memories of that to this day. Dad's gone, but the memories remain.

Look up Foxworthy's bit about deer hunting with his wife... hilarious... might give you a feel for the day...LOL

just breath, it'll be fine....

I wonder if he planned to kill her then realised he couldn't get away with it...

This is awesome!! Kudos to you bro. You'll love it and so will he. Memories like that never die, and yes he may get to moving around, but who cares. Y'all time is priceless...

Enjoy big man

"Are we going to use deer scent?"

"Do we have to shower before we go out?"

"Are we going to eat some of it?"

The questions have been endless which is fine by me. This might be the start of a great family tradition. My dad used to take me and my middle brother checking trap lines when we were little and when pelt prices dropped and he got much busier with work he and my uncle stopped running lines. We would do the occasional squirrel hunt and go fishing. But all of the things I learned were trial and error on my half. He has helped me pull deer out of the woods and showed me how to clean animals and tan hides. So this will be good memories for all of us. When I went to my dad's over Labor Day I almost and I mean almost pulled the trigger on buying a brand new pontoon and if I would've taken my truck instead of the wife's suv I would've. Needless to say when I go back in 2 weeks the truck is how I'm getting there

I love the questions. I have an 11 year old boy been hunting the last couple of years. Killed a doe first trip out. That has caused some issues. Thinks he is supposed to kill sometyhing every time now. NOthing like the look when they shoot something and look over at you
