yes I am pissed off :devil1:

I get so sick of finding a good job online, and I MEET ALL QUALIFICATIONS, I have a solid work history, varied experience and yet I never get called for an interview........

who in the world are applying for all these jobs??????

I purposely applied for some jobs where I was way over qualified, just to see what would happen and still no call, I am totally baffled. These employers must have their heads up their asses!:triggerha

I hear you man. I still don't have a job in my field. And I've been at it for years. On the upside, it could always be worse. That's the way you gotta look at it because being pissed off won't help you get anywhere. Believe me I know :D Keep tryin bro

thing is I have applied for jobs from all kinds of fields, I have found a lot of jobs that are good paying yet only require a high school diploma, I owned and ran my own business for 5+ yrs as well.............makes ya wonder!

I totaly understand when I was out of a job I applied for everything. I even applied for positions that I was very over qulified for. Not one call. So I decided to play the numbers game, if I apply for 300 jobs a day and then get maybe 10 interviews a week. Out of those I would get a second interview from 2. It seemed to work out for me. Every time I start to look I follow this. It usually takes me about 6 weeks to land a new job around my salary. Here's whats great most the time I'm working with people who either have Bachlers or as in the case now most have Masters. Me I have an Associates. Good luck in your search If I can help in any way let me know.

it's not what ya know but who ya know
I am trying my hardest to land a state job, they have such good benefits, and retirement, hard to beat. Plus all holidays off, good pay etc.......I will keep applying :)

You are right with a state job! Awsome benifits really hard to beat. I went after a job in IL with the state(before I moved to St Louis) I had to pass the state requirements with an A. Then you needed some help so I went to my state rep and asked him for a Recommendation letter. Basicly if he gave me the letter I was willing to vote for him in the next election and his party also. Whalla I had my letter. I also got the job at the state but found a better one later on.

Over qualifications beg the question of cost to a company - not only salary but potential structural changes which sometimes may occur when hiring somone with experiance and "out of the box" ideas :)
