They don't have to look good or even taste great. If it is downable and helps you with your goal it qualifies.

Here are some of mine.

1)
2 medium sweet potatoes 1 chicken breast 1 table spoon extra virgin olive oil,1 table spoon vinegar, red pepper, sea salt, cumin, oregano.

Dice chicken in to cubes, put in a ziploc bag, put in oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, cumin in the bag, get rid of air, squeeze bag around to get the marinade going, throw it in the fridge. Take 2 sweet potatoes put it in the oven ( you might want to do this earlier) let them cook until very soft in the middle, take skin off salt and mash. Throw whatever is in the bag on a teflon pan and cook until well done. Eat both.

2)cook 6 egg whites and one full egg on a pan, make some oatmeal with water, grab some semi fat shredded cheese , mix them all together, down with coffee for breakfast. (Took it from Ronnie Coleman and added the cheese, I am not competing I can have cheese dammit :) )

3)ground turkey, onions, taco seasoning, corn tortillas.
Dice onions, cook them with a little oil, add ground turkey ( as much as you want) as onions turn pink, cook them throughly , warm tortillas on a different pan until nice warm and tacoable ( is this a word?), salt peper to taste and make as many tacos as you want. One corn tortilla is 55 calories, I am assuming ground beef filling without cheese should be about 60-80 calories ) this depends how fat your taco is. But technically even with cheese you can have 4 of these badboys for under 600 calories and more than enough protein for one meal.

4) Breakfast burritos for people who are not cutting.
small potatoes, onions, eggs, cheese, hot sauce, salt pepper.

Dice potatoes fairly small, cook them with olive oil in a pan ( they cook pretty quick, add diced onions and add salt to get rid of some of the jiuce off the onions, keep on cooking, add eggs, mix em all together keep on cooking. 20 seconds before taking off the burner add shredded cheese, mix all together, take a tortilla ,line it with hot sauce add the mix and enjoy.

Notes:
a) I am not Mexican, I am gluten intolerant, hence all the tortilla's
b) I make these with as much organic indigents as possible, usually all the food is, condiments or spices I am not sure. Trust me it tastes a whole lot better, especially eggs ,olive oil and meat/poultry.
c) These are all whole foods, no preservatives nothing else. I actually don't feel bad if I overeat stuff like this. In worst case scenario it is too much of the good stuff, which may still make you fat but if you are working out more than likely it will go to the right spot.
d) I almost never eat out and putting stuff like this in your body is very good.
e) After dropping gluten off my diet there was been a big improvement with my digestion and energy levels after food consumption.
