It's a bitch! Dewpoints here are regularly 80 degrees (sauna-like). Even though the temp might be only 85, the heat index will be 100+ due to the high humidity always. The gym has no air-conditoning and no fans - not one.
It's like working out in a sauna. My shirt is soaking wet within 15 minutes of being there. On top of that, the Filipino's often will close the gym windows because they want to sweat more!lol I ask some of them why they want to sweat so much when pumping iron - their reply was "it keeps the blood clean".
I'm reluctant to ask the owner if it's ok for me to buy a fan for the gym as he might take offence. Ya really gotta dig deep to prep the mind on leg & back days as it's hard to breathe in the sauna. Thank GOD for Gatorade & Powerade - one can truly appreciate their effects when your head feels so hot like you can fry an egg on it!
Oh well, off to hit chest & calves - get 'er done!
