It's a bitch! Dewpoints here are regularly 80 degrees (sauna-like). Even though the temp might be only 85, the heat index will be 100+ due to the high humidity always. The gym has no air-conditoning and no fans - not one. It's like working out in a sauna. My shirt is soaking wet within 15 minutes of being there. On top of that, the Filipino's often will close the gym windows because they want to sweat more!lol I ask some of them why they want to sweat so much when pumping iron - their reply was "it keeps the blood clean". I'm reluctant to ask the owner if it's ok for me to buy a fan for the gym as he might take offence. Ya really gotta dig deep to prep the mind on leg & back days as it's hard to breathe in the sauna. Thank GOD for Gatorade & Powerade - one can truly appreciate their effects when your head feels so hot like you can fry an egg on it! :p Oh well, off to hit chest & calves - get 'er done! :D

You have my vote brother as I know what it's like at my gym when the AC is broke or off I couldn't imagine not having any!! Especially in those conditions..

Funny how Americans are considerate in other countries, but foreigners in America aren't...

See if some money will persuade them if they don't want you to bring a fan. Lol
