Are all women completely clueless about money??? Everybody is pinched over the holidays, we just did 2 back to back shows for her which is very expensive, she's complaining about having no money, then invited our kids with a few friends to the movie tonight. Movies are extremely expensive, I just don't understand......

Some women are spenders and some are savers. Some have the idea that her money is her money and my money is her money. If my ex was a millionaire she would have money problems. With my parents, my Dad pays the bills and my Mom spends, spends, spends while my Dad tries to keep up..lol I've always been the saver type and my current girlfriend is too so I don't have to worry about her spending it.

You just have to be open and honest with each other about the money situation. Just like everything else.

My woman can balance a check book but at the end of every month the balance goes to zero no matter how much is in it the first of the month. From the women I have known some of the ones that were on their own for a long while did pretty well, especially several I have known from South America and Europe.

My Old lady is excellent with money . And yes she stays home and doesnt work so her money is my money but , It doesnt matter.
Point is . If i want something I go get it , same principle for her.
some weeks are tighter than others but it always works .

If I was married this would apply for sure but at this point me and mine are pretty much separate in the money department...

It just boggles me to complain about money, then complain about working so much and then turn around and blow a shit ton of money the same day.

My wife will gripe about gasoline prices keeping her in the poor house and then drive to the next city over from us if necessary to save two cents a gallon on gas. But once she has "saved" that two cents per gallon on gas, she will then stop at the mall on her way back home and buy herself another pair of shoes.

Whatshername is on a spree right now. She will guilty in another few weeks after Christmas and then button down the hatches for everyone. Then will come that inevitable day when she stops at the mall and makes that first purchase, and she'll be on another binge. Oh well I don't care. As long as I have enough for a can of chew each morning...

Compulsive spending and use of credit are the two problems. It's easy to get stuck in that trap and as the husband you have to act like the father and then they resent that.. rather than understanding the problem and correcting behavior. It can go both ways but seems to be more common in women. Usually they are the ones that go to the store to pick up what is needed. Men are happy to almost never shop.

Spending all the money is one thing, but borrowing to spend is another. I don't have a single credit card nor a stomach for it
