hey bros. yeah, we've all been there. waking up early in the morning or from a power nap after work, then decide to hey, why not go for a freaking brisk walk/jog and only to end up limping back home with a pair of shin splints.

this is what hinders my cardio from improving at all. if it hurts, i sometimes ignore is and just do have I have to do and end up cramping up so bad it makes gals PMS a funny thing. it hurts so bad that one time, i actually had to call someone to help me get on my feet.

now I ask, are shin splints genetics? what causes it. what can one do to avoid such? should we really exercise/workout our anterior shins too as oppose to your usual calf works?? what what what. thank you very much

Bro you need to look up anterior compartment syndrome, I would bet that is what your trouble is. That can be treated and in severe cases simple surgery can cure it.

I have shin splints from football. You can get them from running without proper foot wear or on hard surfaces. If they are shin splints there's a few exercises you can do to rid them (temporarily). Place a towel on the floor, sit on a chair or couch. Put one end of the outstretched towel under your toes and the other end, place a weight (or book, anything) on it. Now curl your toes inwards so that only your toes are pulling the towel with the weight. Or just stand and to toe raises (opposite of calf raises) They always helped me.
