It sucks that this country is starting to look like Middle Eastern countries these days. It's becoming a war zone here!!!

Nah. That's always the first panic point. He won't, but something will be done. There are too many activists for guns. All they need to do is fight as hard as the anti gun nuts.

Best case. That gun was stolen. Then legal gun ownership don't come into play. Which it shouldn't either. Just saying what the sissys will say.
 
There will be some federal legislation for safety that will go unfunded and eventually killed off or passed on to the states. There will be politicians that see political capital to be gained here. it will have nothing to do with the welfare or safety of children or and civil liberties will be sacrificed if needed for fear of an epidemic of psycholtics appearing in every school in America.

He was trying to make zombie sex slaves. He also kept the torsos to fuck for a while. Completely different kind of deranged. i don't want to see this thread go political though. This board does not deal with political issues.
 
I don't believe in gun laws. I'm as redneck as they get, but I ask myself this question a lot. Would there LESS killing if there wasn't semi-auto rifles? Probably not, but I think that is where the Government is heading. My point being if they use a rifle or a revolver, best case is you have 6 shots to re-load or a single bolt action.

there seems to be more and more occurances of shootings like this and it's really disturbing. I THINK that people are trying to make a statement when doing this sort of thing and the more media attention it gets, the more seeds get planted in the minds of other twisted people.

I don't know the best response to this sort of thing. There's always a balance between wanting the freedoms we have and the desire to be safe. Clearly, you can't have both at the extremes. Gun control is not a realistic answer, but I can't offer anything reasonable either. Realistically, it comes down to what are we willing to give up to make it less likely to happen. Genetic screening, psych exams, etc... and they all have consequences that infringe on your fundamental (consitutional here in the US) rights.
 
There isn't a place bad enough for somebody who kills innocent little kids....may the rest in peace, and prayers to their families, just so very sad:(

We don't have too many mental cases here, they usually locked them up before they do anything stupid.

The last shooting here happened last year on Dec 13th when a criminal shot 5 people in Li?ge.

What? Remember our country is much smaller than the U.S. and that gun control here is pretty harsh. You should all remember that I love you guys. I didn't mean that a lot of people there are disturbed ;)

I wonder how that kid laid his hands on an assault rifle.
 
A very sad day! I'm still in shock thinking about the parents of all those kids and especially this close to Christmas. Let's all send up prayers for those poor families.

Ok look, I get sucked into these discussions too. I just went and looked up the frequency of mental disorders in Belgium published by Empred. I'm not going to blat on about the numbers because that would lead to a comparison between nations and that is almost by definition political debate. Political debate does not belong here. I slipped into it in some of the first responses so I am to blame as much as anyone. But as I quoted earlier, the rules of this forum include that there are no political discussion here. So, I am ending it here. I am closing the thread.
