In trouble at work for saying "snitch-bitch" to a student.
The other kids made it viral, now I have a "meeting" tomorrow.
Really just sick of all the shit all over.
Last Thursday, a vice Principal came to my room for a discipline problem, then stayed and wrote me up instead.
Before he left he came up to me and said, "Mr. _____, this, this is ugly, really ugly, your presentation is ugly, you're ugly, this room is ugly, the material is ugly, I look around and all I see is ugly."
I couldn't believe he said that, especially because he said it within earshot of the students.
Now that's all around.
Ridiculous.
I just took the day off.
Who needs this shit.
I told the Principal about it and he said, "So the snitch-bitch comment was made in response to this kid sleeping next to the V-Principal when he came in?"
"Yeah, because he's usually the best student in the class, then the VP came in and what's he do, he put his head down."
Tomorrow's meeting should be interestinng.
Probably get suspended, maybe fired.
Gotta get the motorcycle out today, the sky is clear with a NE breeze, lot's of fresh air, that's what I need right now, literally, and figuratively.
Wish me luck, or hell-fire be damned!

I'm not sure why you would have said something like that in the presence of the kids to start with but if these are the same ones that had layeth the smacketh downeth on you before then it's not like their not old enough and haven't heard it or something simular before but still I would have stopped and asked myself "Self would you say this in front of your own children"? then if not I wouldn't have said it but he's right it's quite UGLY bro... Good luck with this one I'm curious to see the outcome of this one...

I feel for you bro but you know saying something like that is a bad idea. Very unprofessional of the vice principal though

“I've come to the frightening conclusioin that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It's my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power tomake a child's life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response thatdecides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or de-humanized"

The meeting was cancelled.
Look, the guy was in my advisory, so I asked him, "Dude, what happened yesterday?"
"I mean, seriously, you are always wanting more emphasis on content rather than discipline in this class and I try to accommodate that, so why would you put your head down while seated right next to the Principal as he's taking notes on my class?" "Why?" "It's almost like you called him in after complaining you aren't learning enough and when he shows up you shut down."
One of the kids said, "Hey Mr. _____, wha'd he do, snitch on you?"
I said, "I don't know."
Then another kid said, "Mr. _____, he's a bitch."
The kid said, "Fuck you, I don't need to listen to your bullshit."
That's when I said, "Is that what you are, a snitch bitch?"
Well, once it was out it went viral, and all the kids were saying it. I quieted them down and appologized publically, but this was after he told me in many words to fuck off.
Hey, what can I say, I work with 99% black kids and I hear this stuff constantly. When he told me to fuck off the first time before I even said any of the snitch stuff, I have to admit, it got under my skin.
So what did he do? He proved it right anyway.
The meeting will be rescheduled.
I don't know, fired or suspension, but I don't think either, because we are down teachers and especially special ed teachers, and there's a huge audit coming up in December.
I am a master at writing IEP's, so if I buck up and fly with those, I think this transgression will be lost to the greater good, that being making the Principal look good in the eyes of the state.
My favorite three word maxim, "Redemption is good!"
Making it happen.
I'll keep you posted.

Oh, and you guys were right, it was definately off.
I'm focusing on bigger things now, like slam-dunking the paperwork.
It's crunch time.
I've had my share of all-nighters in college, studying, partying, and one one occasion, with a shaved-beaver who was kiiinnnnnky!

Lol, and I was a beach-Lifeguard for five years so I'ld enjoy the surf as well, and, of course, those girls down under!

Ummm...was talking about a woman on her knees not her geographical location if you get my drift???

Yeah, yeah...I know...sexist comment and no doubt someone will call me a misogynist.

Misogynist, bwahahah...half of them won't even know what that word means. Definition: Average North American male.

The case was dropped. They had nothing, but, I learned a valuable lesson, to keep my mouth shut about certain things.
