I was doing back today, and while doing pull-ups i thought of another exercise that would be the same movement as barbell rows. It's a horizontal pull-up. Now i don't think i've seen anyone ever do them before, but it felt like a great exercise, and it was a little difficult. Idk where i come up with this but i'm always looking for new ways to hit certain areas. I'll get ready like i'm doing a regular pull-up and lift myself up and push my legs out in front to make my body go horizontal, and then pull myself up. If anyone is up for a challenge give it a shot. Thay are not easy, especially keeping your body in that position for the duration of the set.

yeah they r good for a change if u to make it a bit easier and to focus alot on back and not stabilizing urself horizontal just rest ur legs high up on a bar the higher up the more intense it is

b52 propz to ya if you can actually do pullups with your body horizontal in mid air and touch your chest to the bar with no support dude. Thats some freaky shit like homie was doing in that video posted awhile back. Shit, even if you can do them not 100% horizontal, but pull up so high that your chest touches the bar is a helluva feat in its own right...not many can do that.

I've seen reverse rows done all the time before, but done on the smith machine. One sets the smith bar at a height where they grab it, then let their legs out in front of them with heels resting on the floor, then pull up or "row" as you say with the body horizontal to the floor. Of course those are MUCH easier than doing them in mid air with no support for the feet.

i think it's my new favorite exercise. lol i always challenge myself. I was just like i wonder if i can do that, or would it even work, and lo and behold, i could do it. it took me a second to get it right, but my back is sore as hell today. hasn't been sore like this in years. plus switching things up keeps me from getting bored.

i've seen people do them on the smith machine like that too, and i was always like what the hell are they doing? i can't imagine that even being a challenge.
