So I was eating lunch in my car today. As I'm eating, this Bluejay jumps up on my side view mirror. At first I freaked because all I heard was the bird land, and when I saw it up close I decided to take a picture. :)

I thought it was too cute not to share.

Aw, he wanted to share your lunch.

Soemtimes the jays try to land on our screens. We have a pheobe that lands on our screens to snatch up bugs. We love that--both her eating the bugs and landing there and chirping.

Blue Jays are really mean birds...you are lucky he didn't try to peck you and take your lunch.

LOL, I don't care if they're mean or not. There are lots of blue jays where I work. I shared my lunch with him...I always feed the animals if I have something to share. :D

For some reason I cant help thinking about Dumb and Dumber! When the blind kid his petting the dead bird saying "pretty Bird".

I love that movie!

would look better with a BB flying into its stupid bird skull. I hate birds

There is a robin that sits on my back fence every morning...one of these days I need to get a pic of it.

I love blue jays. All summer long, I had one that visited me just about every day. He would come sit on the rail of the back deck and just chill out.

Late one afternoon, I was reading on the deck and heard something land just behind my shoulder. He'd already made a habit of visiting me about this time of day so I assumed it was the bird. Turned to look and he wasnt just sitting across from me, he was about 3 feet from my left shoulder. LOL Kinda freaked me out but I laughed, he jumped and landed on the ground just on the other side of the deck. He landed, turned his head sideways and looked at me with this goofy look on his face. He looked like he was wondering what was wrong with me, he just wanted to see what I was reading. LOL

Anyway, just about every day and around the same time, he'd come either sit on the edge of the deck or in one of the limbs of the small trees in the back yard, just watching me.

I never felt like he was being aggressive or anything, just inquisitive. Was pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing Erick, it's awesome that he came and chilled out that close to you. Do you normally eat in your car about the same time every day? Wonder if he'll make a habit of having lunch with you. :)

Just don't offer him any muffins ;)

LMAO @ muffins. Sometimes I eat in the car and other times I don't. Whenever I do though, birds always seem to follow. I think its rather cute and interesting, especially when wild life takes a chance at getting that close to you.

After I got done eating, I went for a walk and for some reason I looked down at the ground. I noticed a ladybug, picked it up and just let it crawl on my hand. That's probably about the only bug I'll ever touch, lol. I used to play with them all the time as a kid, it was so nice that I felt like a little girl again, LMFAO.
