Ultimate Fighting champ Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday on charges of beating up his live-in girlfriend, porn queen Jenna Jameson, at their Southern California home, according to published reports.

Ortiz, 35, the father of Jameson's 13-month-old twin boys, was hauled off to jail in handcuffs and charged with felony domestic violence, TMZ.com reported.

Cops went to the couple's Huntington Beach home after a 9:53 a.m. 911 call about a "disturbance," TMZ.com reported.

Jameson, 36, who made the call, had "visible injuries" when officers spoke to her about what happened, according to the web site.

Ortiz, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound former light heavyweight champ of Ultimate Fighting, was being booked at the Huntington Beach Jail. The 5-foot-7, 110-pound porn star told the web site she plans to press charges

Celebrity gossip and news website TMZ.com is reporting that UFC star Tito Ortiz has been arrested, allegedly, “for domestic violence at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson.”

The TMZ report goes on to say that they were told that when police arrived on the scene that Jameson had “visible injuries,” although TMZ did not cite the source declaring the injuries.

According to TMZ.com, “We're told someone called 911 today at 9:53 AM and reported a ‘disturbance.’

“Tito is currently in custody and on his way to a Huntington Beach jail in Orange County, CA.”

MMAWeekly.com has been able to verify Ortiz’ arrest with the Huntington Beach jail. He was in the midst of the booking process. The lieutenant in charge of the case was not available to provide further details at the time of the call.

TMZ has added videos of Ortiz being taken away in a police car (see video below) and a tearful Jameson saying that she is okay and that she intends to press charges.

Ortiz is a coach opposite Chuck Liddell on the current season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series. The two were expected to fight in June, following the series, but that bout has been nixed. Liddell has since been scheduled for a bout against Rich Franklin at UFC 115 in Vancouver.

Ortiz has been very cryptic in postings on his official Twitter account over the past month or so, mentioning some challenging issues in his life that MMAWeekly.com sources indicated were attributable primarily to his health.

ORTIZ BREAKS SILENCE, SAYS JAMESON ON DRUGS


Silent no more.

UFC fighter Tito Ortiz on Monday evening spoke for the first time since being arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence against his girlfriend, former adult actress Jenna Jameson.

Ortiz was arrested and held at the Huntington Beach Police Department for several hours, cooperating with the investigation before being released on $25,000 bail.

Along with his attorney Chip Matthews, Ortiz made a statement at an impromptu news conference on Monday evening in North Hollywood, Calif.

According to the statement, Ortiz claims Jameson has been hooked on Oxycontin for over a year, and that her drug use is what led to the argument and his eventual arrest on suspicion for domestic violence.

Ortiz also said in the statement that he never struck Jameson, and according to Matthews it was his discovery of drugs in the home that led to the confrontation.

"I want to be quite clear," Matthews said. "Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."

The fighter was teary eyed as he spoke to the press in attendance, and while he did not answer any questions he thanked his fans and his family for their support.

"I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be okay," said Ortiz during the press conference.

During the statement, Matthews also eluded to the fact that Jameson's family has also been supportive, and her father, Larry Massoli, who actually was the person who called 911, brought Ortiz clothes to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

No official charges have been filed in the case, and officers are still investigating at this time. Huntington Beach Police Department officials declined to comment to MMAWeekly.com if Jameson had filed a restraining order against Ortiz, but she stated in a later interview with TMZ.com that she was not allowed to see him for 30 days.
 
hmm. Im no Tito fan, but if he is telling the truth an assload of people owe him an apology for all this bullshit and spreading slander around before hearing the whole story.
 
i wouldnt give a shit myself whether he is innocent or not...he should be arrested just for being Tito...the huntingdon beach punk. ive never liked him

He has a junkie for a gf. He has a porn star for a gf that he has kids with. He has a mansion paid for by he and she. He looks around and says I beat up people and lost a few for my riches. He looks around and thinks the mother of his children fukked many other porn stars in many movies not knowing how many dicks she had in her for him to look around.....and think.....she got all this being a whore in movies.
