A guy just came in the store and I noticed his face was kind of scared and tweeked alittle. I got to talking with him and when he pulled out his cash to make a purchase I noticed he had a military I.D.(Marines) I asked him where he was stationed and got to talking and he told me that he got shot in the face in Iraq and was here getting surgeries, he has already had three. It really brought back bad memories for me. Fortunately, I was never hit but some of my buddys were right in front of my eyes. I feel for that guy and makes me really stop and think about what some of my fellow Americans are still going through over in that shithole of a country.

I feel for all our men and women over there. When i was in a buddy lost both his knee caps in an attack on the american embassy in lebenon. At least eventually he was able to walk agin anyhow.

I agree - it is rough but that is what they do bro - it doesnt make it any easeir for those of us who have been in harms way and had team members or good friends hurt - but it is their job and thank God they do it

Im sick that our men are getting hurt and dying....without making politics and world policies, I wish they could come home and LIVE...

I have the utmost respect for all the military personnel. I was never in the military but i have to say just seeing people like bigsickd saw throws a bit of reality into the idea of war. There's a show on FX on wednesday nights called Over There which is about our people in Iraq. The damn show really hits hard at times. There was a piece on the History channel last night about Saddam Hussein. What a prick! I'm not saying we should or shouldn't be there but this guy was a person who could throw chems at people and laugh about it. If there was WMD where did they go! These terrorists could have them along with radioactive shit which will not be pretty. WE'll never know the whole truth till long after

Stories like this make me think how lucky we are.

I think a lot more respect neds to be paid to these heros that get very little in return
