Hit shoulders and back in gym this afternoon.
Did standing Military Presses going up to 455 for a set of 3 reps.
Not sure when it happened since I didn't feel anything until I got home and got in the shower.
But right now I am typing with one hand as I can barely lift my left shoulder without excruciating pain.
I guess I'll know in a couple of days if I tore something loose or not.
Bummer. Masters Grand Nationals are only a few months away and I've got a real good shot at placing in the top three at least if not taking it all for my division. I am so bummed right now.
Icing the shoulder right now.
Help?!:lang:

Damn bro that sucks this close to the comp and the fuk of it not knowing what you did..

Take a dumbell stand bent over at the waist propping your right hand against the wall and slowly swing the dumbbell like a pendulum. It will give a great stretch. just a thought I live off that stretch. May help work out the problem

Us boys that loft heavy aren't the most flexible. Sounds like a minor tweek

If you're doing 455 military press that's Donny Shankle weight. He is Oly lifting national Champ at 105 kg

Yikes dude, tore my left labrum in 06 doing incline presses, still haven't had surgery but I was out for almost a year to let it heal..

I figured out what happened. My wife had me lie down and she took my left arm and tried to slowly raise it over my head. When she got about shoulder heigth it stopped so she forced it up. There was a loud pop, an instant feeling of relief, and almost immediate ability to move the arm again.
I was doing 3 rep sets of dead lifts with 700lbs, got a bit rounded with my back on one rep and tried to pull my shoulders back into the arched position. I'm pretty sure I pulled my shoulder out of socket at that point. But it's odd because I was able to finish my work out and even get home before the pain hit. That's the odd part.
My right acl is hurting also.
It's tough getting old!

I'm looking to go into this comp at around 270-275lbs. I'm sitting at 270 right now so I just have to maintain where I'm at if I can stand it for a few more months.

Well I'm glad you figured out what the deal was and was able to get it fixed without stupid doctors.. Good luck in the comp and watch that ACL, I go in 5 weeks for my 4th surgery in 4 years another new type of replacement, At least I'm back to 260 before they cut me so maybe I won't loose to much last time I feel off to 201# from 250#...
So watch the knee bro!

Good to hear dude, I would just keep it iced for now and not push it to soon..

Will do. Thanks for the input.
Did leave work early today due to pain. But I can use my arm, which makes me very happy.
