What camera and software??

I want to start taking a lot of videos of me and my team working out and I was wondering what camera I should get?? Also what is a good software program to where I can learn to edit them and put in music and what not?

buff and I both have sony cybershot, it is good and pretty inexpensive. we both use windows movie maker to edit

Sony Vegas v6 for editing... hands-down

-or- if you've got the $$$ and the knowledge, Pinnacle's Studio v10 is excellent for video editing.

Not sure if you are talking about digital cameras, I got a fuji S5100 and I love it. Cost me about $400 bucks but I think they are cheaper now
