If you've heard this before, just pretend that it is new....
Three guys are walking along a mexican road when they decide to get a hotel room for the evening. So, they go into the first available hotel and request a room. The usual night watchman isn't working so the stand-in tells the three men that the fee is going to be $30.00 instead of the usual $25.00. The men happily agree to the fee and each pull out $10.00. So now each man has paid $10.00 for the room.
An hour goes by and the stand-in night watchman decides that it isn't worth losing his job for $5.00 so he pulls out five $1.00 bills and gives them to the bell hop and asks the bell hop to take the men back the money they are owed. However, on his way up to the room the bell hop decides to pocket $2.00 and give the men the remaining $3.00. After a short explanation the men happily take back the money. So, each of the three men takes one dollar and puts it in his pocket.
At this point each man has paid $9.00 dollars for the room (the original $10.00 minus the $1.00 they are returned) which brings a total of $27.00 ($9.00 x $3.00 = $27.00) However, the bell hop has $2.00 that he kept on his way back to the room. This brings a total of $29.00....
Where is the additional $1.00 ??????????
