I've been reading a lot about volume and how if you want to continue to progress you need to keep the volume moving up. Well this got me thinking so i'm also going to start putting my workouts in Excel so I can tally how much work is being done. Also it'll be easy to work out percentages and things of that nature. Going to give this a try for awhile and i'll let ya know how it works out.

Nice workout today. Pretty much anything on Rack Squats is a PR since I just started them last week. I had more in me, but it felt like a damn good workout so I stopped.

ha ha, must of missed it. So these are like partial squats then. Basically working on the top end of your squat with these?
 
yeah pretty much that and I hear they help the top of the dead for some reason. Also it gets you used to heavy fucking weight on your back and I think it'll burn your CNS good. Only have one more week after this of hard work before a deload week. So I have to make it count
 
i have no idea what an anderson squat is. A rack squat is pretty much the same thing as a rack lockout for the bench press

Not a bad workout today, but my elbows are killing me and were from the start of the day. Prolly should have taken a longer rest on my last 2board press but live and learn I should have been capable for 5. One more hard week then it's time to let my elbows rest.

Will wash my shirt next week in hopes to tighten it up some.

Please critique away. On my board presses I like to bring the first one in deep like MM does then I pound them out as fast as I can. The bands as you can see are strung from the outside of the BB and under the bench. I'm not sure on the tension here.

Also I need more leg drive you can really tell the difference when I use it and when I don't. Also am going to look for a different belt for my shirted bench b/c the big thing is affecting my arch.

Warmed up to 275x1
225x3x9 3different grips all sets between 2.4-2.6seconds besides the first set I was as slow as a turtle

Incline (middle finger ring)-
225x6

315x5 shit brought 5th rep down to high had nothing for 6th

Pushdowns- 70x15x2

Side Delts

Rotators

Everything on the incline felt heavy. I dunno if the speed benches just wore me out or what. I have one more heavy bench day then it's a deload week. But I will kill 315x7 on the incline on my next 3week cycle.

Good workout today. Got to love working out at the Lockup. I was sick as dog, hacking stuff up after every set, but I still managed to hold it together.

I really need to learn to push my heels down!!! Thanks for pointing this out Wayne.

Josh I will never thank you for anything until we get a bench like the one at the Lockup. :D
 
just got back from the hospital and I have pneumonia. My fever got up to 104 yesterday and wasn't dropping so I went to the ER. Glad I went but I am sick of being sick
 
Just read right through your journal, your hella strong! and at your age you got a great future in whatever you decide lifting wise. Have you got any goals with your training, how do you feel your body is developing on this type of training?

I think I have a great build by doing this type of training.

And as for goals well it's to kill all the junior records in whatever weight class and federation I compete in. Then when I get to the open to work my way up and be a the best at whatever weight class i'm in.

there's something nasty going around bro...my 2 year old had pneumonia too and his pediatrician was amazed at how many kids were catching the shit.

I had a nasty ass cold a few weeks back where I was hacking up blood because I was coughing so much.

quick recovery and back to kicking ass bro.

no BB here bro eventhough a lot of ppl say that with my wide shoulders I have the build for it. I just like PL and would not be able to stick with a super strict diet

Great workout today. My wrist were killing me so I wore wrist wraps and I actually liked it. Made me feel tighter/stronger. The bands kicked my ass as always. If I ever want to be humbed I just start strapping on bands and they do the job nicely. Will prolly start working up on the close grips so I can nail 315x10 with that grip.
