Just finished running Test and Tren and my back looks like the surface of the moon. I know this is part of the whole thing but just wondering that there must be something that can at least lessen if not eliminate this.

I've considered the DHT Inhibitors Dutasteride and Finasteride, but I'm not so crazy about THOSE side affects either. For one, negatively affecting sexual performance? Not worth it for me.

Next I may run Eq alone. From what I've read it doesn't convert as much to DHT. Good or bad, I don't know.

I don't think that dht is the major cause of your acne anyhow. Steroids cause increased activity of the apocrine sweat glands, in most acne prone people, this is what causes it. Clean the area often, rubbing alcohol on a wash cloth works real good. The application of green tea oil or otc acne helps many. If it's real bad antibiotics normally clean it up.

what antibiotics?

dut or finasteride can actually cause more bacne. its a DHT inhibitor tho, not for acne. years ago it was beleived to help but nothing to back it up.

i have had similar problems, i always foudn the tanning salon helped dry the back out a little, made the acne go down a little

Most broad spectrum help. Tetracycline is among the best but may cause a slight inhibition of protein syn. Kelflex is another.
Any idea where to find some decent info on each. I've done some research on both as well as Erythromycin and even on Amoxicillin. I've found conflicting anecdotal evidence for all. Although the most consistant reports I've seen with Keflex. Seems it all depends on the type of acne as to which one works best in a given case.

Yeah, the DHT inhibitor idea was a knee jerk reaction since I've read over the years this is what contributes to acne. No tanning beds for me. I live in Miami so I've been laying out in the sun lately because of the acne and yes, it certainly does help. Of course a good shower after with a deep cleanser and a back brush helps alot.

I would stick with a topical acne medication such as Retin-A or something equivalent before messing with antibiotcs. A benzoyl peroxide 5% or 10% wash is also worth a try. Tetracycline analogues are generally the first line of defense but as Lifts said, they are protein synthesis inhibitors.

There's also the heavily debated Accutane, but the side effects are often not worth the benefits.
