Anyone else wish they had the resources to be in British Columbia in the summer ? It was too hot yesterday. Today will get a reprieve, probably won't hit 97 today.... If I cold only hit the lottery right?

I used to work for my rich uncle and he would send me to various places for meetings and such and in a lot of those places, there would be a steel pan on the deck when you walked out to do a rotary mission. They had them there so the helicopter skids wouldn't sink in I guess.... Those plates, really large and thick, would get so hot that your boots would melt on the way across. Those vibram soles would literally get slippery if you walked too slow... Like trying to cross a hockey rink almost.. It isn't THAT bad but I can still complain about it if I want too ....

I like Alaska in the summer. 18 hour days. And something about floating on water with 75 degree weather, floating between ice covered glaciers......occasional sound of a whale.......

I remember Texas in the summer, no thanks. We hit 80 today for the first time this year. I live less than a mile from Lake Superior.

How are the summers in British Columbia bro ?

I'm in Florida and we've been up around 96 the past few weeks with very little rain. With Florida summers you know it's going to be miserable during the day. But then most evenings between 5 and 6 pm we get heavy rain that cools it off. The down side is the humidity and higher temps the next day. Speaking of Alaska, I've heard it gets really hot there during the short summer months.

Yes, we were 97 today with horrible humidity. It just get worse from here on until October.

Marquette has very cold but it’s not uncommon to hit the 90’s in the summer. I live about a ten minute walk from this large beach where thongs are the rage. It reminds me of south beach.

I dont handle heat very well at all. But I never get cold. I work outdoors most of the time so I always dread summer.

I usually don't get cold either, up to a point. I was in ND in the winter of 2016-2017 and a blizzard hit (what I call it anyway). It was something like -32 F and the windchill was like -56 F or something like that. Bro, I got cold on that one for sure. But yeah most of the time I am the same way, I hate the heat but I love cold weather.

One year in my hometown we had a 30 streak where the temperature never went above -25. We had more than a week where the temperature averaged-50 with wind chills exceeding-70. That was the coldest that I have ever seen.

Yeah, that's cold I don't care who you are. It's like when people say, "I ain't afraid of dying". I always reply with, "then you aint never been close enough to it yet". Thats cold my brother...... I love cold but not that cold where your skin tightens and your beard freezes up and shit.... Hell to the naw naw naw

Same with me. I travel in my RV that I just pull from job to job and I can't cook inside in the summer. No way...

I don’t like the heat and I don’t like the cold. I don’t like extremes. I’m a bitch.

Right now we’re at our place in Puerto Morelos, Mexico and its hotter than usual. I’m not complaining though, I love it. No kidding though our pool water must be close to 100 (in PA it’s heated to 92 and this is WAY warmer) and the ocean is the warmest I’ve felt it. Personally I love it but the monkeys, parrots, and toucans have literally been dying and falling from the trees. It’s crazy.
