If your volume and frequency is correct you should be a HUNGRY MO FO most of the time. Overtraining tends to kill the appetite and under training or not training should leave your appetite at normal levels that you should be accustomed to.

While this rule of thumb does not apply to all, it sure does work for most people out there. It should be blatantly obvious after leg day especially that you have imposed some huge demands on your system that need to be met with lots of nutrition. If you?re not hungry something is wrong!

This is so true.. :)

At one point I thought AAS where actually decreasing my apetite because every time I was on them I had trouble gaining weight from not having any apetite.

When I would cut back on my training volume because of going off a cycle my apetite came back making me think it was the AAS that was causing my apetite to decrease when in reality I was over-traning.

The question is, how can you actually suppress your appetite! I'm hungry all day long, and I could eat all day long if allowed. That's not something I can do, or should do!! The worst thing is going to bed so damn hungry and food is all you can think about!! :wallbash:

I wish i could help ya. My metabolism is still fast at 36 and when I'm "on" I eat everything in site, especially at night. That feeling sucks going to bed hungry, maybe someone will come along with something that'll help ease the hunger.

Good luck

Look into rimonabant bro, it has a secondary effect of lowering ldls and increaseing hdls as well as loss of weight.

My Mom was on Miridia for a while. She loved it.. I think it's Doctor prescribed though... (at least that's where she got it from)

Lifts you mentioned rimonabant to me before. I think I might have to try it if my appetite doesn't suppress...

Well, I just love to eat and train, so I'm hungry (specially for love :)).

crystal light helps to suppress my appetite a little bit. This is a problem for me too, I hate having an appetitte when trying to get cut.

with heavy leg training your body can actually release chemicals that upset the stomache which is why some people lose appetite with leg training. The body while in need of nutrition then does not tell you, you are hungry like it should. This is why its really important to have a liquid substitute of calories and nutrients for these days.

Leg especially sqaut, dead, and leg press put a lot of pressure on the abdominal muscles tightening the stomache making it difficult to eat/drink anything because of the pressure on the intestinal tract etc. Stretching the abdominal cavity afterward and taking in some cold liquid and eclectrolytes will help release these muscles so that you can eat/drink again.

One last point is that a a big issue with Leg training is the type of food you consume before hand. If anticipating a heavy leg workout you should include a meal that is light and full of dietary fiber 2hours before the workout and then no solid foods before hand. this will help digestion and make sure that gastric emptying is complete before your workout. This will help reduce the stomache tightening feeling as well
