Makes me wonder what the BB'ers of today will look like at 70

Wonder if they will even be alive. Lol

Yes they both look great and still clowning around. Both these guys were the epitome of 70s bodybuilding golden Era in every sense. I'm sure they used hard and heavy for their time but nothing like today. Plus all was pharma quality and they all went off for extended periods. Tons of picks of both thee guys shrunken down but mostly still fit at least until they got super busy and older.

So true. I was talking to an old friend in the gym yesterday - he's 63, and he's the guy that convinced me to do my first show back when I was 16. He was 28 at that time and competed in bb and has did many shows over the years. He's still in great shape and does some masters shows from time to time. So we get talking about cycles of back in the late 70's - 80's. He said in the late 70's, a typical cycle for him was 100mg of test cyp & deca ew for 8-10 weeks, and maybe 15-20mg of dbol or var ed. He said guys were scared of orals, so the orals were ran like 4-5 weeks only 2x a year, with dbol being in the bulking season, and var when prepping for a show. He also said he would add in primo at 200mg if it was available leading up to a show. He said as the 80's rolled around, the only thing that changed was the test & deca were bumped up to 200mg ew of each. He knew alot of guys back then competing in the regional area, and said cycles of all that he talked to about it were pretty much in that same ball park. Keep in mind this was all pharmaceutical stuff. It really makes ya respect guys like Arnie, Sergio, Franco, Lou, Haney, Mentzer, Robby, Serge, Viator, etc knowing that they built great physiques via alot of hard work instead of relying on tons of juice. Not to say they were all taking the doses of what my friend did, but I think most would concur that doses back then were probably less then what most guys on the boards run in present day.

That's so pretty cool that your buddy is still working out 35 years later.
