This was him talking post Arnold Classic 2015. He said Cedric placing so low was bullshit, and dogged the big guts of today and the judges for rewarding them. I hope his words have an impact bcoz this shit with the pregnant look being the norm is bullshit. IMO they need to add the vacuum as a mandatory - that will solve it.

I agree with adding the vacuum as a mandatory, but I'm afraid it's gone too far and we'll never see it again like back in the day... Which is fucking sad!

Yeah it'll be difficult to steer back the other way. Completely agree with what arnie says here. The limit has been pushed and we know the results

The Golden Era has come and gone, sadly. I hope these modern day hogs become out of style. Modern day bodybuilders are just too large, plain and simple. As far as functionality goes, they're f***ed. That wasn't the case "back in the day." Take Franco Columbo for example. He was a powerlifter, bodybuilder and strongman. I believe he was also a boxer (before or after bodybuilding).

*correction: Franco Columbu started his athletic career as a boxer.

I disagree that it can't change. Certainly the golden age physique won't be back in full form - that's a given. I don't think one must look like Zane to win a show. I dig the freaky muscles - but, WITHOUT the gut. One of the freakiest of freaks was Paul Dillet - he had no gut. Wheeler, Levrone and crew had great looks. Phil had it pre-2011. Cedric has it now. If the judges listen to Arnie, or better yet if they add a vaccum, that will help bigtime. If all the upcoming guys stop the slin and back off the GH, they can have the look. This would be great for bodybuilding to come back into the public eye where they would start televising shows on ESPN again. But it won't happen as long as we still have the 40 inch waists and turtle shell guts. It's all up to the judges and sponsors. If you start having alot of the big sponsors of shows making a statement also, things can change.
