At age 12, I was so thin, at about 120 lbs, the principal sent me home with a bottle of chewable protein wafers and a note to my partents that I needed a set of weights. I started working out at age 12 and took pains to use correct form. By age 15 I had gained over 50 lbs, weighed about 180 lbs @ 6', and had 30" waist and 15 " arms.
My daughter has always had an unusual amount of energy, and when she was 3 years old I started doing pushups and calisthenics with her, holding Sarah by her ankles and making her do incline situps. By age 4 she had a better 6-pack than most guys at the gym.
By age 8 she looked like a young Brittany Spears, but loved to brag that she was tougher than any of the boys in her class. One night at the gym, she goes over to the wrist roller and sees it only has 20 lbs on it. She says "that must be for a kid my age," and I made her a bet she couldn't wrist roll it all the way up while sitting on the curl machine and extending her arms over the preacher bench. 15 minutes later, and the last couple of inches took some extreme effort, but I owed her a new Bratz doll. Imagine how proud I felt when a 275 lb powerlifter exclaimed "Damn! That little girl's awesome!"
Unfortunately now she's boy crazy and doesn't want to work out or do anything that would make her appear to be a tomboy.
