I heard that "they" are doing away with the ten year rule for DUI's. Meaning, even if you got a DUI in 1960, you will be chanrged for 2nd offense in 2007! Any info or incite on this?? Very curious!:repuke:

I don't know anything about it, but it's crazy if it's true! Come on, why should one mistake stay with you forever?

I'll tell you about a buddy of mine who got a DUI in another state 16 years ago. This past summer MI suspended his driver's lic. until he completed a series of drunk driving classes. The guy hasn't had even a simple speeding ticket in years.

Some fools are getting tickets for not wearing seat belts...right pumps:)

Oh please, the seat belt fines are the DUMBEST thing ever since the ab-isolator!!

It should be your right to choose to wear your belt or not!!

states are really cracking down on it. In md you first time you lose your driver license starting that day for 6 months, even before you get to go to court.

in miami you have a DUI on your record for i believe its 45 years...45 fukin years, you know had bad that sucks. thats the worst ticket or citation wanted for around florida. your better off getting caught with an ounce of weed than getting a DUI. theres cops in naples in which i was informed through,by close reference, in wich cops wait till u leave a club. follow you till a block away from home and pull you over for a DUI. how fuked up is that..

but just remember. this is knowledge and experience ive delt with talking to attorneys who deal with criminals with DUI. dont ever agree to giving a blow test if youve had only a beer or more. yes they will take you to jail and arrest you. but you have no evidence of Drinking and Driving under the influence. so take my word. The worst offense(aside from rape and murder) is DUI, considering the length it stays on your record. so be safe and mature. think smart, and dont drive like my buddy did with 25 bottles of juice in his car. cuz thats just as bad.he recieved 1 1/2 years in jail as well as my best friend who was blamed for DUI manslaughter. he saw a man burn himself to death while he was drunk as he crashed into the mans car from the back, he was coming from a club.he tried helping him out but he couldnt cuz it was to late. luckily his mom is an attorney and payed over $350,000.00 for an attoney and is getting only 3-4 years(considering the seriousness in this case).

as always i write a little to mucvh but i hope this gives more knowledge and helps someone future, cuz after your credit and future is ruined, everything else is gone and hard to gain back, let alone ruined..

just a little late and giving my two cents before nap time..lol

well i will be have pics of my great progress in a few days.. looking forward to the responses since i posted my last few pictures during vacation in which were nothing compared to my current looks..

I thought if I did my time it would take care of the fines.Didnt work that way you got to pay each day your locked up so after I did my time I moved to
MO and they wouldnt give my license until I payed the remaning $500
That I owed Cali and I had to File a SR22 and had to carry it for 3yrs...Cali socked it to me Hard
Its becoming Nation Wide it was enforced because of MADD..And the chick that started MADD got arested for DUIs not to long ago....Tell ya what I dont drink & drive..and i wouldnt rec you doing it in Cali Fkn Costs to much

Im with you dog. Im not a big drinker as it is and I wont drink and drive at all, my friends bust my balls. Im like yea when you get locked up for leaving the bar trashed Ill be the sober one who comes and gets your ass from jail. They cops around here wait for people to leave the lots like there is no tomorrow and in maryland if your SITTING in your car with the keys in the ignition with the car off you can be locked up for DWI

all wrong,, doesn't matter what state your from,, records are whiped clean for dwi, dui after 3-7 years depending on which state laws applied at that time and cannot be entered into court as evidence if the time lapse has expired!!!!!! take it from a reformed drunk lol

It's 10 years in MI, right now a bill is in the state senate to keep DUI convictions on your record for life any third conviction in your lifetime would be a felony.

Damn! I remember in the 70's alcohol was nothing. The police catch you with a bottle of JD or drinking a can of beer and they would pull you over and laugh and tell you to pour it out and that is it, not even a ticket. Same thing with pot. I can understand drinking and driving is not a good thing to be doing, but you didn't hear about all this back then and now it is such a big deal. Maybe the younger or older ppl now are not as responsible as back in those days.
