BCAA's ?

So I have a question guys, im getting ready for my first show. So I really wanted to step everything up so i got some BCAA pills, to add to the amino's i get from meat and my protein. When do you guys think the best time to take them is?
 
Agree PWO is best

Ffirst thing in the morning and right before bed are two other good times to consume them.

What brand are you using?
 
I like every couple of hours b/t meals or shakes. PWO should either be a large shake or high protein moderate carb meal imo.
 
I definately see the benefit for PRE w/o for sure now that you bring it up. I am using NOW's brand that i got from BBing.com. I take a whey isolate shake PWO, so i guess i get enough from the isolate i would figure. So I am thinking before bed to stop muscle breakdown when i sleep and pre workout. What do you guys think
 
Taking BCAA's before and all throughout your workout can noticeably decrease post workout soreness the following day. The Branch Chain Amino Acids Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine are the aminos most quickly depleted during an intense workout, and the body will cannibalize lean tissue to obtain them. No type of protein, liver tabs, whey, or anything else will deliver enough of these 3 aminos with the speed and efficiency necessary to prevent catabolism. I like Beverly's MUSCLE MASS BCAA's, and they are expensive. I take about 4 before a workout, and 4 tabs every 10 minutes during my workout for a total of 28-32. I notice a marked decrease in soreness the following day. (Haven't been training heavy enough lately to warrant the high cost) ;)

ICE is another very effective BCAA product and is more reasonably priced as well.
 
Well said JB, just to note, a quality BCAA mix will have L-Leucine(the most important) around 3 times higher than L-Valine and the L-Iso will be about 80% of the L-Leucine dose.
 
Ching and Benz, I really appreciate your imput. I now the NOW ones arent the best but they will run out soon and ill look for some better ones. Thanks guys
 
what do you guys think if i got some of that amino vital and drank it all the way through my workout?
