I guess with working, training, eating, sleeping, competing, family life, I somehow didn't know about bodybuilding forums. Now that I do, I see there are so many, and hundreds of thousands of people using them, I feel like, "Where was I"?
I joined one of the others, I don't know if I should mention the name (maybe the biggest, most popular) and had a bad experience. I happened to mention how I break my protein consumption into several small meals a day spread apart by a few hours, which I thought was pretty common knowledge. But 10 or so guys jumped all over me saying it was "broscience," that I didn't know what I was talking about, that you can eat all your day's protein in one meal, that they wanted to see a PhD. study before they would believe what I said, even that I should get lost!
WHAT?!?!?
I wonder if they know that you have to lift weights to grow muscle, or do they need a PhD study before they believe that, too.
I decided there was nothing of value at that site and left for good. Decided I hadn't been missing much not knowing about forums.
But then I came across this site and read several threads in the nutrition part where everybody does what I do regarding protein intake. So the level of intelligence and experience seems much higher on this site! Maybe here I can actually learn something (and maybe teach a few things, too, as I've been pretty successful at bodybuilding.)
So I say hello to everyone here!
