Sup peeps,
Recently moved into my new apartment, great landlords, good deal , etc, and i just signed a lease. The lease terms say, 1 year lease and if i break it, i am responsible for the rest of the months payments etc. etc.

Well when i moved in, the older tenant had still not moved out his stuff, my allergies started acting up and i had to use my inhaler a lot, i decided to remove all the carpets and clean the aoartment thouroughly but here are some pics. I cant reach inside the vents obviously and stuff.

I feel bad cause my landlords are really nice, but Is it possible for me to break the lease, should I get a lawyer?

nasty!!!!! get out bro like i said on the phone get out fast--i have allergies too so i feel for you

What about having the landlord clean the ducts (professionally)
You may want to start there.. If your health concens continue even afterwards, then you may want to discuss it with him/her

an atty can tell you what the deal is in your state. I am pretty sure you cant stop payments unless you have advised the lessor of his not keeping the terms of the lease and giving adequate demand for remedy. Ask Big Karch.

I agree with getting your land lord to have the ducts cleaned. It may turn out that you become such a pain in the butt to them that they will gladly let you out of your lease.

Lol at buf .it is a valid request right? I am not being a lil sissy here am I? Is there a law that states how often landlords have to clean their ducts?

There are health standards for rentals. Contact your local health department, they often are a great help in either getting the apartment up to standards or giving legal cause to break the lease without repercussion.

first step is talk to your landlord....then go from there...what state are you in...

As my trainer in car sales at a buy here pay here car lot told me "poor qaulity demands excellant service to stay in business" they had been in business for a very long time.

health hazards can be a reason to break a lease and not be held to it, if, and they may require it, a medical professional can articulate it is a danger to your health to stay there....but speak to the landlord.....

Definately show that you have taken all the proper steps to remedy this by first going to the landlord.

Ok the landlord came, said no one ever complained about it, all he can do is vacuum the superficial stuff. I looked at
Him like wtf? He said he will let me break the lease, he wasn't too happy but whatever
