It must be the frozen latte, how can these idiots maintain this ridiculous theory?
"They say that their research shows that much of the warming was caused by oceanic cycles when they were in a ‘warm mode’ as opposed to the present ‘cold mode’.
"Both main British political parties continue to insist that the world is facing imminent disaster without drastic cuts in CO2."

Last week, as Britain froze, Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband maintained in a parliamentary answer that the science of global warming was ‘settled’.

Here is a satellite image for ya:
This image of the UK taken from NASA's multi-national Terra satellite on Thursday shows the extent of the freezing weather

Break out the surfboards, chaps! After we flog a few waves we'll swill some pints.

Anyone with a understanding of climate science realizes that polar melt off at the abnormal rate we are experiencing at this point in time will disrupt the salt content of the Atlantic ocean i.e. causing disruption of normal current channels and will eventually lead to another ice age. Whether this is caused by man or cyclic in nature, it appears to be happening.

The British Government (which is mostly made up of useles cunts) insists that if we pay more taxes we can stop global warming - emmisions on vehicles are graded and road tax charged accordingly, grading for domestic appliances as well, the better the grade, the more expensive it costs (and more VAT), "offsetting carbon emmisions" tax on air travel etc etc.
The fact is, this is a tax of conscience that dumb people accept but there are more voices behind arguments to the contrary, as is the subject of the article in the link...

If you read the article provided in the link you will see evidence of polar ice build-up, not melt-off. Besides, the "climatologists" have been using melt-off data taken in the Northern hemisphere's Summer season, (when there is 24 hours a day of sunlight) but they didn't take into effect that at the same time the Antarctic ice was building up, as is natural.
People are burning more wood, and this is going to lead to shortages. Will the Govt. raise restrictions on drilling on Govt. controlled land then? Probably not, as the emphasis is on control.

I do not subscribe to the tenets of global warming "caused by man in the last 50 years" anyway :p

That's just plain SILLY

Worst case, planet Earth is going through a typical and natural cyclical phase, unmolested in anyway by man.

I'm with the conspiracy theorists this time (who happen to make up the majority of thought by slim margins for whatever that's worth) who espouse the prophets of global warming have a sinister, underlying money-motivated agenda.

ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT = ONE WORLD CURRENCY = GLOBAL CONTROL TENTATIVE (a New World Order)
and an RFID chip

A great book on the issue is "State of Fear" by Micheal Crichton the book explores global warming from a neutral science prospective. It leaves you thinking and wondering if anyone really knows what the fuck is up in regard to global warming.

The polar ice sheet is declining yearly, by what percent I would have to look up, while as you stated the Antarctic ice which is 90% of the worlds ice continues to grow.

Get your sleds, snow shovels and gloves at discount this Spring because we may need them earlier next year.

There was a lot of algea during the jurassic period, how do we know the presently used oil wasn't created by that?
Seriously, though, giant algea farms?
Just let me have my fish oil.

im not sure if global warming is true or not but either way i dont htink it can be stopped but heres some food for thought in a normal city the co2 levels are about 500-600 ppm so in the country its less ovbiously plants can not only use that much co2 in photosynthesis but can use close to 2000 ppm of co2 which would achually cause a faster growth rate if provided enough light and what not. so if our co2 levels were raising that much plants should naturally be able to use it and grow faster and the climate should technically stay the same cuz there would be no build up of co2 now i dont have too much understanding of global warming and maybe theres alot more to do with it then the rising co2 levels but thats just my 2cents

Joe, you are a genious!
Seriously, I love that explanation.
Like I wrote before, all these college students who want to stop global warming should spend their summers planting tree's instead of sailing in Puget Sound.

I tried to find the vdeo of he sea algae from the Gulf Stream, there's millions of square nautical miles of this stuff off the coast of France (in the Atlantic), it uses up millions of tons of CO2 and pumps the same amount of oxygen back into the atmosphere.

What gets me though, is that Britain is a small island, yet our govt makes out that all this is our fault. 30 years ago, there were hundreds more coal fired power stations than there are today, yes there were less cars but modern cars' emmisions are less than ever so the exhaust fumes from some acrs is cleaner than the air going in at the front end.
Anyway, back to the point......I've been to 7 different African countries, their roads are cluttered with old vehicles pumping out black smoke, there's always something on fire and, in the oil producing countries, their processing plants are constantly flaring off gas they can't/won't seperate, pumping millions of cubic metres of CO2 and what have you into the air. Aslong as these countries allow Uk & US compnies cheap exploration to tap their resources, they can pollute as much as they want. So, the real polluters are not tax payers in Uk or US but the big corporations but they have more money than you or I so they grease some palms and we foot the tax bill.

One other thing, has anyone done any research or read any articles on the "Carbon Footprint" of the Copenhagen Climate Summitt?

Don't get me started about that. According to one source I read, "The worst thing about the Copenhagen Summit was they ran out of caviar." Classic!
Also, Nancy Pelosi and Congressional Staffers used 3 military jets plus others to get there, most stayed at a five star hotel, and their supposed carbon footprint each was reported to be more during the summit than most people's will be their entire lives. By the way, Caviar is over-rated; too salty for me, bleh! (Guess I'm showing my common-man roots.)

You make some good points as for global warming, I'm not sure anyone has a real understanding of it.
