if you noticed I have not posted any workouts for almost a week now. I just feel burnt out. Saturday when I did deads I felt like I pulled something in my lower back, and I have not done much since. I just don't have the enthusiasm. I feel like blahhh. I have been doing DC training as most of you know. And I think I need to move on to something different. I tried to lift today and I just could not get into the groove. I think I should take a full week off and go from there. I have not took any time off for prob 8-9 months. I want some ideas of what to do as far as my workout. I am open to ideas.

take a week or 2 off
relax & do whatever u wana do....

or go 2 a light 2 day split....somethin very easy & simple, b/c just so ur doin somethin....*its more mental then anythin* so if u feel weird about sittin out 4 2weeks etc, do a lil somethin, but remeber that ur takin time off & ur body & mind r tellin u 2 do that

You definitely need a break bro. There is nothing wrong with that. Everyone needs a break from the gym ever now and then. How long have you been doing DC training?

I think a good 3-4 months, pretty much since we stopped the challenge we had on here

Taking time off is what you need right now. Do you think your progress went well on DC training, or kind of stayed the same?

Like the others have mentioned, its time for a break bro. I would suggest a two week break. I was in the same situation over the summer months, it was like I lost interest in lifting overnight. Try devoting that extra time into getting use to your new work schedule and things like that. I think once you get back in the groove of things you will want to workout more than ever

I def agree about taking break. But when I return I would like something different for a change of pace, anyone like to suggest a different type of training?

I have one , Powerbuilding ;) I've been taking that approch with my training and has been working well for me. Of course it would need to be a bit different in regards to volume, and guaging recovery, but I'm convinced this is about the closest your going to get to having the best of both worlds. Getting stronger and bigger, not just one or the other.

I'm game bro........you willing to write me up something
You know I will ;) A great deal of it has to do with what I learned from the many different types of routines I ran with IA. Kind of combined All different types of concepts.

I appreciate it bro........you got my email. Take your time, since I will be taking a lil time off, no hurry

With DC training this is what is supposed to happen. I could only make it 8-9 weeks before I was burnt out and needed a break. If you been going 8-9 months of training (part time DC) then you need a break. DC recommends a cruise when ever you feel like this. You are to take 60-75% of your max weight and just do one straight set. No rest pause or statics. Just one straight set, do that for 2 weeks then hit the weights again full blast. That is why DC advocates the blast, cruise, blast, cruise, etcy philosophy. But being you been going 8-9 months hard core total traing you might need longer than that to recoop.
