Almost 4am. Been up since 3. Can't sleep. Old lady is snoring like a freight train. But no, she doesn't snore! So I'm in my man cave reflecting on my Christmas eve. It's been pretty much the perfect day.
Started off the morning at the dinner table having coffee with the old lady, talking. We don't seem to see each other a whole lot any more due to conflicting work schedules. She works afternoon to late. I'm early morning to early to bed. But it was nice to just sit and talk.
Then I went into my room, cranked up my guitar and blasted out some tunes for an hour or so. Then went out back and lifted for 45 minutes or an hour. Then we, Eli and I, went on a huge toy run. Taking toys to the kids, grandkids, old ladies, of fallen or incarcerated brothers. Came home and spent time with my grandkids. Then we took them to a Christmas eve candlelight service. Came home. Had sex with the old lady.
All in all an almost perfect day.
I don't know about you brothers, but I don't get many days like this much any more.
Now I can't sleep, but have some great memories to reflect on.
