Didn't get the call from the insurance company yet but they let the bodyshop know the car is totalled.
What kind of car can I get for $4000?

LoL @ the bmw Isetta, ya I dont think you can even get one of those for 4k! There isnt a whole lot you can get man but 4k is a good down pmt on a decently priced car.

shit u can buy a early 2000 model GT mustang and hot rod it out...those have the 4.6 in them they are great engines...

Yeah, I ralleyed the troops today to counter the insurance offer. I faxed copies of the reciepts for repairs I did in the last year: new tire (880), engine with 47,000 miles on it (1900), timing replacement (800), and dealer repairs (1500).
Maybe I can get $6000 instead, hoping more like $5500 at least, it was a good running car.

u can get a decent used car for 4000 no problem just look its going to be nothing fancy but it will get u from a to b for sure

Thats true but wit the economy still in shambles and many car companies not meeting goals there will be ALOT of deals around tax time because they know people are going to have some extra disposable income. I if you owned a business wouldnt you run sales knowing that there are alot of people coming in to some extra spending money? I sure would lol.

The "Cash for Clunkers" program actually took a lot of cheaper cars off the market. Most of the tax time cars are in the 3-6,000 dollar range and a big percentage them are now being sent to China in the shape of a cube.
