BCAA's before AM cardio when cutting help prevent losing a shitload of muscle. Especially leucine.
IMO cardio on an empty stomach can have a place in a prep but only if the person is behind, also never at high intensity and also I always recommend to include some BCAA's before doing it.
I always do about 10 to 15 min of cardio just to get the blood circulating, I feel this is important to help minimize the chance of injury, specially for old fuckers like me! LOL
