Hey mrhtbd, I destroyed both my feet in August in a motor vehicle accident, I have an aircast on my right foot BUT can remove to ride the bike and perform therapy. I have two excellent PT's that have given me a number of different things to do! I will say what has helped me the most is to start out with balancing exercises for your ankle. There are a number of different pads, bosu ball, air pad, etc that can help.
