Cathy's (3rd time's a charm) Training Log

I had a great log going on another site...sadly it may be lost for all time...but I can give you the short version.
During the Winter and Spring months I was lifting heavy on a 4 day split.
Chest/Back
Legs/Low Back
Shoulders
Bis/Tris
Over the summer I switched to a 3 day split.
Chest/Tris/Shoulders
Legs/Low Back
Back/Bis/Abs

Now...due to work...I am on a 2x/wk full body workout...and cardio when time allows...so of course being the girl that I am I will tell you that I feel F-A-T! Things at work will slow up in November, and I will be back to normal...think I will stick with that 3 day split unless anyone has better ideas. I don't usually bitch all female like that...but today I couldn't find any of my long pants flattering to my ever-expanding-ass. I haven't weighed myself in months...and it's probably all muscle that I've packed on since the last time I had to wear any of these long pants (back in spring) but none the less the word fat comes to mind.

I am thinking of doing my first figure competition this spring. When the local dates are announced you'll be the first to know.
 
You got it...I know some of the other folks will do more when they make it over. We had quite a few serious lifters male and female!

It felt great to finally get back to the gym after so many long evenings just standing around at work. I wish I wasn't so tired after the weekday stuff to get over there to the gym or to get up a half an hour earlier and get on the bike...but I know I will just have to force myself here soon because I am starting to feel a little more mooshy than I'd like. That's probably all in my head, but better safe than sorry I guess.

Fealt really nausseaus at the gym the entire time...so I went and ate an old ass piece of dark chocolate from my purse...then got on the recubent bike.

Rode 15 mins at minimal difficulty.
 
I believe it's spelled "pussies", not "pussays", in fact I remember it being spelled out in that football movie Goldie Hawn did, she was the coach of a HS football team, an to get the team to respect her she challenged them to a running contest, if she stopped before they did, she would quit as coach.
After the last player dropped she threw her stopwatch at them an said "You pussies owe me a new watch".

And where is this figure competition going to take place? You might need a cheering section, it always works for me.

Great looking workout Cathy! Keep up the good work...I hope things slow up for you at work so you can get back to the workouts you want. Just watch the diet and remember that you are not as active right now.

Thanks Jake! I can not wait for the HS football season to be over...it's going to be great seeing the gym more than twice a week (at best). I was thinking that decreasing only my carbs would be my best option...what do you think?

Sounds good Cathy, just decrease them on the last half of the day...that should be fine.

Not doing the comp this November, any more, been working too much, and staying too fat for that right now....it would be a waste of money for me to even enter....maybe in the spring.
Joe is not allowed to touch my camera w/o supervision, he's like a bull in a china shop.

Ranch, like as in Cowboy, or in your case, Cowgirl, Rancheros is the male version an Rancheras would be girly, like you frilly girl.

Ok...getting back from a few days off on vacation...which was not a relaxing one...but a great one. My visit to the Mr Olympia Expo left me with a ton of samples and some really great experiences.

Before my workout I had one of my whey protein sample packs. It was a coffee mocha, but brand I don't remember. Tasty, mixed well, but artificially flavored...so as I was getting dehydrated during my workout it was all I could taste.

Got to they gym about 45mins later, jogged half a mile at increasing speeds.

Took my 2nd supp, Amplified by Met-Rx got on the recumbent bike, while some douche bags were chatting in the rack (sure they had been dead lifting...but when the hell is it my turn). I spun at low intensity for 15 mins giving the stuff a chance to work...and they guys to get out of my way...and went and did my deads. Which were total cake, and I probably should have added some more weight, but I haven't done them in a month...so I was happy enough to just be where I was before my break.

Hopped back on the recumbent bike for 20 mins, started for 12 mins at moderate intensity with a HR of ~130, finished at a heigher intensity with a heart rate of ~170 sustained!!!! Way f'n awesome...I didn't get the jitters from the supp...or feel my heart race just nice a little boost. I even went home and ate a proper post w/o meal too!!! Pats self on back!!!:party:

But hey why wouldn't any of us kick each other in the butt once in a while.
Cathy you do know about the Rite Aid Health Expo an King5 does a health expo too. One was in march an one in May, entrance fee was a can of food donated to NW harvest.
Pretty much the same vendors, lots of free samples.
It's at the Exibition center between Safeco an Quest feild.
