I haven't heard much about cissus, but I have heard some great things about celadrin. It is very good for the joints, and has anti-inflammatory properties that really help reduce inflammation and pain. Celadrin works great when combined with glucosamine as well. The Doctor's Best brand actually combines it with glucosamine in their oral supplement. It can be taken orally as a supplement, or applied topically, or both. From what I have read, best results are seen when it is combined with glucosamine and used both topically and taken orally (I've found both at seacoastvitamins.com).
