How many of you bros pay child support? And I'm not asking that you put the amount that's your choice. I want to put this up because I wanted to voice my opinion on the matter and the way our fucked up government (court system) handles things. I been paying child support for 14 years at an amount that makes people quiver when I say it. Now I'm just a regular guy, only makes 62K and year. My question is why do the courts system base it on your gross but take it from your net??? Anyone know and don't guess. I hear enough of that shit. Not only that but I have joint custody of all three of my kids. My youngest son e-mails me today letting me know that they were working out the other day for football and some how had a dumbbell drop on his head. They took him to the emergency room, had it clean and glued it back together. Do you think I got a freakin call from he's mother letting me know.

This is just one case. One incident during a 14 year period. Ya that sucks, take her back to court people say. For what! An ass hole that got voted into office to say their's nothing you can do, or say now now you call him when something happens and then I'm still stuck with court cost. I hate our judicial system. I hate lawyers and I damn sure hate the ass hole that looks down on me while he cheats on his wife on a beach and says your lucky you don't pay more. And they wonder why their are dead beat dads......... :iconbehea is what we should do to Judges.

Oh I hear you bro. I just stopped paying child support on my first child she is now 19 but I still pay for my son who is only 12.

I make well into 70K range and for 2 children not counting the one I have with my wife now I was paying $1250 a month plus 5% for every $100 dollars to help pay for all the cost of the courts sending her a check every month.

So my support got dropped to $750 for my son. Now to make things better the court would sends the mother a debet card to spend the money but it sucked because it made it hard paying bills and such. Than the courts decide to charge a yearly fee to the mom for the card,, something like $75 she was pissed,, good for me though.

She finaly said f the courts we settled it on our own and now I only pay $550 month but I pay 6 months in advance. I'm a happy camper no more courts and plus my child support was on my credit report as a debt,, a $1250 debt made buying my house so dam hard.


My word to any man out there with kids and a X who is an ass. Be super cool to her no matter how much it sucks because if you guys can't work out a good child support amount the court will and man they screw the guy everytime. I paid support on my daughter for over 15 years So think about it.

Oh and to answer your question why they look at gross but take the net because of a lot of people have pre tax 401 or some type of retirement plan. If it was based on that than evey guy that paid child support would dump as much money into the retirement plan which would than make his paycheck look small,, hence less money to pay the mother. The courts are smart. They make money off your child support...

Ya that is what I hear. I pay $1629.75 a month (that includes health and dental) for three and make 62K a year. I feel they should make the mother show where the funds are used. It's bullshit.

That's right, the state give a fuck about your kids? Nah, just want that dollar for dollar match in federal money. Ever heard of cases where a man and woman were married, the woman cheats, gets pregnant, father finds out it isn't his, divorces wife, yet the court makes him pay child support for a kid that is NOT his? Well, that is why.

Anyone ever wonder why you can kill another human being( manslaughter), be convicted, and sentenced to PROBATION, yet fall behind on child support payments and they will throw your ass in jail? Well I don't have resentment towards my kids. I'm educated enough to know they don't have anything to do with it. My grivance is with the court system and the way they base the amount, on top of that the mothers do not have to show in any shape form or fasion how they spend the money. That is the issue I have. That and yes it is hard to live these days paying that much.
I would like to know which law, bill whatever shows that the state receives a dollar for dollar. Just to still a little shit.
