Close Grip Chins
Purpose of Exercise: To develop the whole back with specific emphasis on the lower lats. It also develops the serratus.
Execution of Exercise: Grasp the chin-up bar with a narrow(6-8inches) under hand(palms facing you) grip. Hang from the chin-up bar, pull yourself up whilst leaning back slightly so that you can touch the bar with your chest or as near as possible. Hold briefly in this contracted position and then lower yourself to the starting position and repeat.
Important Points: Do not move up and down in a jerky or uncontrolled manner. This is a strict exercise so do not kick with your legs to take pressure off your back.
