220 pounds, 6.2, %17 BF, sick (got a cold) and busy with midterms at the moments so cardio will start next week.
Goal is to drop to %10 BF as the first stage, and more if I can. Usually %13-%14 is where I hit a wall and it takes a lot of work to break through it.
Although it is somewhat unconventional, I came up with this diet considering my own metabolism and state of hunger.
First of all I love fruit, I would not mind eating a whole watermelon or 10-15 oranges in one sitting. At the same time, other carb sources, simple or complex trigger insane levels of appetite for me. I just cannot get full no matter how much I eat. If I eat a lot of carbs my daily calorie intake can hit upwards of 5000 calories just to feel satisfied, and I am talking about clean homemade calories, not junk food or fried stuff. You imagine how much food that is lol... Also carbs wreak havoc on my digestive system, not just because of the amount of food I consume but also how I get rid of the waste. So with this diet I tried to keep low glycemic carbs with some fruit added in here and there, also good fats and lean protein sources.
Sample one day diet
Breakfast -Irish oatmeal with water microwaved, mixed with 2 whole eggs.
Midmorning snack - Shake with 2 scoops of protein, 1 Tbs low fat cottage cheese, 1Tbs natural peanut butter, 1 apple 1 banana.
Lunch - 2 cans of tuna, smoothie made with raw veggies such as cucumber, kale, spinach, broccoli and celery. 1 pear or orange to fix the taste, small serving of sweet potatoes or brown rice on the side.
Mid afternoon snack- handful of raw almonds and one orange
Dinner - 1 or 2 baked chicken breasts depending on how hungry I am, small serving of brown rice or sweet potatoes.
