newbie here..... any comments about cyto gainer and muscle milk?

I take 2.5 grams of creatine monohydrate in the morning and a cyto gainer shake after my workout. Then one more dose of creatine in the evening. I'm 5'6 and weigh 150 lbs. My max bench is 225 lbs right now. This is my 8th month of working out, and I am starting to get frustrated. I feel like I need to gain weight to be able to really improve my lifting and build mass.

Im not sure if this was the right place to post this comment, so i apologize in advance if it should be elsewhere.

Welcome to Premier Muscle.

Muscle Milk should assist in adding weight, due to its fat/protein/carb content combined with Cyto gainer.

I like Muscle Milk, but I do not like the sodium amount in it. I'm glad they make a Light version now as well.

what effect does sodium have? haha sorry i have no idea about anything right now... complete newbie when it comes down to biochem facts.

Shucks man, that's what questions are for - asking right?

Sodium (to a competitive bodybuilder preparing for a contest) will plan a major role in the body holding water.

Now, for all of us who do not compete on stage - sodium intake on an average basis may not be that bad on water retention. It's not a bad thing - so don't read into my comment about sodium too much.

Use the search button here, or Google it for more insight.

One of the biggest mistakes a beginner makes is over training working out to hard with to little rest b/t training the same body part over agin. This hinders progress more than any other sinle thing imo.

not so much water retention as much as cell expansion which creatine causes, bigger cells = bigger muscles.
we can help you out with recemonded supplemnts but ill need to know about your diet such as protein intake, calories, hegith, weight, goals, and all that good stuff. lmk if you need some help bro,
take care.

im 5'7 155lbs i take in between 100-150g protein, 3000-4000 calories. well i live on a ship so my diet is hard to maintain the way i want it. i should be moving into a place in march. i want to weigh 175lbs. and be able to bench 300lbs 10 reps. i can only bench about 225 1 time right now :(. but ive only been working out for about 8 months and i know it will take time.

Indeed, it just takes time. And in order to have sufficient energy levels for intense training you need to eat and sleep for it. I'm sure one you get settled in you'll have no problems hitting a 300+ pr.
