Daughter made the gifted program

I am very happy to report my 9 year-old daughter got accepted into the gifted program at school.
She was reported as having an IQ of 130 and her reading level is 9th grade.
She is a 3rd grader. I think I'll buy her a new bike!
 
Congratulations my friend. Having a daughter myself, I know you must be beaming with pride. :)
 
Thats awesome man! I dont even think I read at a 9th grade level lol.:wiggle:
 
She read the entire Harry Potter Series from October 2009 to February 2010.
There are seven volumes and they total over 3000 pages.
She is so far advanced that the teacher gets her to help the other kids. I tell her to keep pushing her reading and math, but I'm not about a one-sided person. She has been playing the Viola since October, is in the choir, and performed at the talent show in January with her friend. She just finished 20 weeks of gymnastics about a month ago. She starts soccer next week and this week started softball. She won the round the base sprint by over a base length from the nearest kid. Damn, can't wait until swimming this summer.
