Well its cutting season and I'm trying to get more defined and loose some weight. I was wondering what is the best way to do this, lift heavy weights or do reps? I did the rep thing for a few weeks and it didn't make me sore at all the next day and I was lifting till failure, so I switched it up this week and started lifting heavier weight and it seemed to give me a better workout.

Lift as heavy as you can while maintaing proper form. Doing this will force your body to hang on to as much muscle as possible while you up your cardio and have a clean diet

Yup.

Yeah like USN said. Lifting won't get you cut. Cardio and, most importantly, diet, will get you cut. Add a few more exercises to your normal workout and up the pace (less rest between sets) to help, but the majority of your definition will come from diet and cardio

Preach boyz.

p.s . Meateater should not be allow to post in any threads where the words ' cut ,ripped ,diet, lean " are the topics of discussion..:D

Agreed!! When I was deep in my diet with no cheat meals he would post pictures of pizza and shit all through the whore thread at IT

diet and cardio, the weights, from my experince are secondary at this point. Just hit the gym, bang out the reps, and kill the cardio. With the calorie reduction, and the lower body fat, if you lift heavy your risking injury. Kick ass
