Demoncrats over the top

We all want our own kids to have a better life don't we? However, if you don't learn how to work for things and learn to appreciate them because of the work YOU had to put into it, you'll expect things to be given to you. Just like the "projects" housing, they go downhill don't they. Those people usually don't care what they do to where they live.

My father was in WWII. When the war was over, he graduated Texas A&M in three years and my parents had a baby in the meantime. They lived off of rabbits that were given to them and tomato soup and crackers. He worked for the gov't his entire career and never made much money. We always had old used cars and kept them for years.
But we had food and plenty of it. He always paid his bills on time and had top notch credit. He often talked about regretting having not studied law but he had a family to raise.

The things he instilled in me was to work hard, achieve on your own, live within your means and "do the right thing". Unfortunately, our society seems to have lost these traits.

The current democrats will annihilate the last of those traits. America may wind up being like a third world entity influenced by many other nations' ideologies.

Don't believe that Extreme conservative bullcrap, hasn't everyone had enough lies for eight years from Bush et.al.

What do you think the energy expenses are monthly for McCain's seven homes? (Or the Bush palace in Crawford TX.)

btw Chaney sat on the board of Exxon and Condi Rice on the board of Chevron. Little wonder Exxon announced that
this quarter earnings has been the highest ever recorded by any company, breaking there own previous records set over the last dozen quarters or so. Also Haliburton relocated out of TX to Dubai along with billions of unaccounted tax payer's
dollars for unstarted and uncompleted no-bid contracts in Iraq.

Well, I never voted for Bush. Neither Obama or McCain is a good choice either in my opinion. We are in the here and now unfortunately. Which direction do I want this nation to go in terms of my descendants? Not in the direction Obama wants to take us.

Your against Prosperity and Peace? Closing the Gap between CEO's and the shift workers? I heard on CNN that the two top executives at Home Depot make a larger yearly wage than the sum of all other Home Depot workers at every single store in the Nation. BTW, although I disagree with some opinions I respect everyone's right to voice them and feelings in regard to them.

I am glad that you respect differing opinions. I was banned from a private board because I differed with the board owner when I expressed my opinions openly and would not adhere to that owner's dictates. I appreciate my freedom and right to debate any topic and not be dictated to.

I agree that CEOs are given way too much for whatever reason. I believe that Bush had personal issues to "achieve" in order to live up to familial expectations. He had issues mentally with that aspect and based his actions with a rubber stamp congress to achieve his goals. Cheney is a purely an evil snake in my opinion also.
His ties to Halliburton are a testament to that.

But what are willing to trade for? Do we really need the government to control much more? Are we as individuals responsible for the support of those who aren't pulling their own weight? Should Jose Morales be taxed more because he built a successful business over possibly generations of hard working predecessors?

Unless people, we the middle class and lower class can pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, we have no one to hold responsible but ourselves.

I do not like McCain much because of his spoiled brat attitude towards some kind of entitlement he had in his younger years. However, I do not like Obama because of his many ties to those who do not have some sense of the history and initial goals of our founding fathers.

Are we ready for a "One World Order"?

I am grateful that what I know and believe America to be is one based on morality, freedom and self reliance.

Once we abandon these principles, we will continue to decline. Perhaps we'll totally become atheistic or Muslim as a nation and have no moral rules to follow.

Personally, I expect no one or government to subsidize my existence and care. Once we go this route all out, then no one will work hard to achieve.

Life is based on this:

Do what you have to in order to feed and take care of your family. Consider yourself alone in the world and you are given a brain, the land and certain opportunities and tools to achieve.

In my opinion, there is nothing more important on this earth than family. Do what you must to better the lives of your family, your descendants.

Should I be responsible for those who aren't trying to achieve this? I don't think so. It's all I can do to try and make things right for me and mine.

Should we give government money, taxpayer money to those who are illegal immigrants and haven't paid their dues? Should we give money, taxpayer money to those who have exhibited no familial or financial responsibility?
It's all I and my wife can do to make a life for ourselves and our kids and even grandkids.

I admire most Asians that emigrate to the U.S. They have a sense of family and work hard to achieve. I have met and seen many instances where they have great careers they achieved by simple hard work and study. The opportunity is there in this country for them and us also.
They work for it and achieve.

Of course there are variations on this.

To me, the bottom line is this. You reap what you sow. That includes morality and an understanding that what perhaps is an immediate windfall is not what is best in the long run in certain principles.

We must all work hard to achieve. There are sometimes things that do not work out and you have to re-route the work you do to attain your goals. What are your goals for you and yours??

I owe nothing monetarily to any "group". I and my wife are doing all we can to teach our kids to do the right things in life for them and their descendants. We each have the opportunity to achieve based on study and hard work. There are no handouts. There shouldn't be.

I do not like the concept of "elite" entitlements. I do not like the concept of "taking care of everyone else who is a dreg on society".

I could go on and on with examples.

The bottom line with me is this. I don't believe in public welfare expenditures. Take care of you and yours when you are afforded the opportunities to do so. Work for your own existence and your descendants.

Very well written and no doubt well thought out...much respect bro.

Don't worry about the democrats, honestly bro. The dems are promising money to the poor. One big problem, no where to get it. Big cooperations are leaving the U.S. in record numbers to avoid OSHA regulations, higher taxes, FDA and USDA requirements, so they option to leave. So who will pay??? A butch of unemployed Repulicians. There not enough money to put it in a nut shell and even if there was by the time senate got finished picking through it there wouldn't be any left......... People have forgotten so quickly how the last democrat (clinton) screwed this country up. Bush can't take that award alone. Bush isn't my choice, wasn't my choice, but Obama wouldn't make a pimple on Bush's ass let alone be in the same class as McCain. People need to wake up, stop being followers and do for themselves.

Think of it like this. You are planning on competing in a BB'ing competition. You have worked hard, supplemented correctly, watch your diet to the ounce day in and day out for six months. You get on stage, win the crowd over, got everyone cheering for you. Even the judges like what they see. The cash price for first place is $25,000 dollars and a contract with American Body Building Energy and supplement drinks. You and the rest of the guys that have busted their ass to even get up on stage are there, and there's one guy that you and the rest of the guys are looking at and thinking why has he even competed. He looks like shit. The judges tell you all that a special guest will hand the award out tonight President Barack Obama. Everyone looks at each other and Obama tells the winner, you know it just isn't right for you to be able to except all of this prize money. Fat sloppy boy down here on the ends deserves some of it too. I'm taking 45% of your prize money and giving it to him...... Is that shit right??? If you think it isn't you ass better be voting republician come Nov. 4th
