Diastasis recti?

No my wife was diagnosised with it after the birth of our last child but it's common for guys like us too

From my injuries and surgeries resulting from them. My abdomen muscles are spread out and bulge out in a similar way to palumboism. It sucks.

It happens to women sometimes after child birth. It may last a year. Exercises can correct this like crunch and other abdominal/core work.
Last resort: tummy tuck.

It's muscle separation. Muscle placation is a surgery solution but it would only make sense if they were doing a full tummy tuck at the same time, who h means she would have to have a lot of skin in her midsection.

Whatshername has this and was able to correct it with very specific and careful ab exercises that pull the rectus abdominus in, not push it out. In fact, if you do all the standard ab workouts which push it out, the condition will actually get worse as the muscle grows. Women are typically frustrated as they get in real great shape and their abdomen pushes out further and further. So whatshername learned these things off interest sites then perfected them in the gym. They really work. But if she goes off and does sit-ups, leg raises, and standard crunches she will stick out farther and farther as her an muscle grows is she indeed has this condition.

Update from whatshername: have her google tupler technique. This is where she learned to correct her DR issue And make her tummy as flat as her 13 yo daughters.

She just told me this is common for PLers who lift superman weights. The same solution works for them.

Serge Nubret had it too. That's why he could do that freaky ab pose where he open them up from the center and then he close them in again. had a small waist too.

Diastasis Recti happens to all women who are pregnant. However, a majority of women only have a small separation and it is a non issue. I would suggest she also look into the the MuTu system. Much better ratings the The Tupler technique. She should consult a physical therapist, preferably one with a specialty in women's health issues/pelvic floor issues. MOST IMPORTANT-NO CRUNCHES, SIT UPS AT ALL!! This will make it worse. The therapist will teach her exercises, although boring, like diaphragmatic breathing, correct posture and heel slides to help heal. Once she closes the gap, she can move on to other, more complex exercises. Note, even performing an exercise such as the seated leg curl can put strain on her stomach and should be avoided. Although surgery is a costly option, most surgeons agree that the sutures could rupture and that should be considered. If she has DR coupled with a hernia, then most likely insurance would cover the cost.

I am not an expert in this arena, simply did a lot of research for personal reasons. I hope she has good luck. I am happy to share any other info I have come across if you have a question.
