Didn't need that...

Just had a piece of my nose cut off, tricep cut off, and calf cut off. I did not need those pieces. I refused lidocaine, "Just cut me and burn em," I said! The cancer on my nose was there for 6 months and the burden was heavy. "Cut and burn," I said. Life goes on. Now I'm freed up to do with the rest 'o me as I will, or cry complaining! How long can we wait to live?

Damn brother, my prayers to you and hope you get all those issues dealt with. Now this reminds me I have to go to the dermo soon to check 4 moles that I have. 2 on my head and 2 on my chest..can't fuck with cancer considering my mom beat cancer 4 frigging times.

I use MT2 in the summer. So far so good. Never sun screen. Just turn from what looks like an Irishman to like a Sicilian. Not saying you should do this but so far so good for me.

Unfortunately those were just biopsies. The spot on my nose has been there for 6 months. Had to wait for it to "semi-heal" so they could even take the biopsy, but I'm sure it will have to be cut deeper. Beside myself. Farmer in youth, 5 years beach lifeguard and 25 years in construction. Been in a funk since June over my nose, but hey, now I can join the Tuetonic Knights, where saber scars are the chalice of courage!

Hope things come back good on the tests. Good things bro, good thoughts!

Good luck on being benign. I got a sis & dad (RIP) who both had skin cancer. My dad was a red head, and only got burnt in the sun. He got melanoma when he was 90, and actually survived it. Fortunately they could cut it all out before the roots got to organs. My sis, who is also fair skinned, has been dealing with episodes of squamous (sp?) cell & basal cell skin cancer, but they have always been benign. The rest of us take after our mom (RIP) - darker complexion & tan easily. Not to say we still won't get hit, but it's usually the fair complexion that's more vulnerable.

Great news, the spot on my nose isn't cancer, jut an aberration. Hopefully will heal in time. The spot on my tricep was cancer but the biopsy was so big they got it all. The spot on my calf was squamous cancer and they want to treat but they cut such a big spot off the scab is still there so there's a shot it is manageable. Great news!
