Guys after my meet on April 1st it's time for me to get back in shape. I really won't have to worry about cardio as my job starting in May will have me walking around for 8hrs a day. I'm just curious as to what everybody's diets look like. Or any advice you can give me would be great. Right now bw is around 245 will prolly bump that up to 250 for my meet as bigger is better since i'm in a 259weight class. Anyway goal is to get down to 225 over the summer. Which I know is very doable. So any advice:) on some food choices

do you have a structured diet right now?

Not really buffness. Pretty much just try to eat 7meals a day. I think that is why I have gotten fat haha I'd like a diet to where I could eat some fruits and what not too. I'd also like to try and not be miserable as I was on the TCD. Took a lot of energy out of me and it pretty much consumed my entire life

If i'm being unreasonable tell me and i'll just suck it up

O also here will be some of my goals for this summer.

Goals:
Decline situps 100lb db 10reps (I suck at these and never work my abs)
Work on keeping a straight back in the DL (I will have to pound my upper back to achieve this)
Get my raw bench back up, but still work topend with boards and rack lockouts
Work Squats with no belt to build a solid core

I will prolly workout 2-3times a week. And I will also work my punching bag and use my speed rope twice a week

Matt, I'd just lower my carb intake, keeping your protein up. Put in some A.M cardio and watch the fat drip off. You really don't have much to lose, so changing your whole diet around probably won't be necessary. Just stay away from the fast food joints :)

yeah I think it's that and the damn ice cream. Why do I like ice cream so much haha

I'd say with your muscle mass you should be able to lose rather easily. Do what buff suggests and i bet you lean out pretty easily

let's hope G4E:) I'm actually going to be reps about 3 now too. Hoping to up the mass a little. I really can't wait till after my meet. I'm in need of a break

I found that the DC carb cutoff concept and the idea of keeping your fat/protein and carb/protein meals seperate really made a difference for me... When I was working with In-Human I gained bodyweight while losing bodyfat and I am sure it is those simple ideas that made it work.

I'll echo what Aaron has said. I've been doing a carb cutoff on my non workout days, along with AM cardio (low intensity) for 45 minutes. The weight is coming off slowly but I've been able to maintain and on some lifts increase my strength all while losing fat. So far, down 7 lbs in 3.5 weeks.

I'd give this a try as a starting point as it's not a traditional TCD and will allow you to keep your sanity!
